Since 2017, Larry Phillips has been responsible for managing Gallagher Connect Partners, a national network of minority, woman and other diverse-owned insurance agencies that Gallagher partners with to solve their risk management, insurance and supplier diversity needs. Also, he leads and supports many of Gallagher’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategies. As a leader in Gallagher Connect Partners, he is dedicated to establishing meaningful and deliberate relationships with diverse-owned insurance agencies to increase business opportunities.

Prior to his Diversity and Community role, Larry was an Account Executive for Arthur J. Gallagher’s HigherEducation Practice and Public Sector Practice.

Larry has been recognized with the following awards: Notable Leader in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion 2023 (Crain'sChicago Business), 2023 Top 25 Diversity Change Leaders (DiversityPlus Magazine), 2021 Rising Star (Insurance Business America), 2020 Emerging Leader (AmericanProperty Casualty Insurance Association), Legacy of Hope Award for Outstanding Alumni (Boys Hope Girls Hope) and 8 to Watch under 40 (Wisconsin School ofBusiness).

Larry is an active supporter of Boys Hope Girls Hope and HFS Chicago Scholars, and has been a strong supporter of Big Shoulders Fund to provide mentorship to underserved grade school and high school students.

Larry earned his Bachelor of Arts in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Business School. Larry received his State of Illinois Producer’s License for Fire and Casualty in 2013.
