Elizabeth (Betsy) Myatt is Vice President and Chief Program Officer of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) and is also the Executive Director of the Northeast Division of IICF. Betsy has responsibility for strategy, board development, fundraising, and operations of the Northeast Division based in New York with Chapters in Boston and Philadelphia. The Division has contributed $11.5 million in grants as well as thousands of hours of volunteer service in those communities.
As Chief Program Officer, Betsy has led the successful IICF Women in Insurance/Inclusion in Insurance Conference Series, now in its eleventh year, which has attracted more than 10,000 attendees to date. Betsy received the 2021 ACORD Women’s Insurance Advance Award for her work in the Inclusion space.
Prior to joining IICF, Betsy had been a senior executive in both for-profit companies and nonprofit organizations. Betsy’s non-profit background includes her role as CEO of the World Lung Foundation in New York and double roles as Chief Technology Officer and Vice-President of Patient and Professional Services at the national headquarters of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA). Her for-profit career in technology and operations included CTO and COO roles in manufacturing, financial services, and management consulting.
After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Betsy started her professional life as an English teacher in an underserved community and has been a lifelong advocate for education. She has consistently served as a volunteer in the communities where she has lived. Currently, she lives in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey where she serves on the Mountain Lakes Woodlands Advisory Committee and as Senior Warden on the Vestry of her church.
