Emily Donahoe is the founder of WOMENSPEAK Training (WST), a public communications training company. WST offerings work to build female voice and visibility in public spaces by giving women, men, and organizations tools to amplify women's voices and to drive organizational performance. Recent clients include Saatchi & Saatchi, Team One Advertising, Publicis Groupe, IPG/Mediabrands, Universal McCann, the Estee Lauder Companies, MacMillan Publishing, Willis / Willis Towers Watson, and Hypothesis Group.
Ms. Donahoe has been a featured speaker for the American Strategic Management Institute ("Understanding the Needs and Mindset of the Media," representing Media Training Worldwide), Goldman Sachs (Women’s Career Strategies Initiative Program), Willis (London: Sarah Turvill Women's Leadership Symposium) and Willis Towers Watson (San Diego: RIMS Risk Management Society’s Conference, largest trade show in North America). Also events for The Women’s Campaign School at Yale, The Bella Abzug Leadership Institute, and Girls’ Squad (2017 Women’s History Event) for 72andSunny in Los Angeles, CA. She has been a guest lecturer for students at Yale University, NYU and UCSD. She taught public speaking at the University of California, San Diego for two years. She is a faculty member at The Women’s Campaign School at Yale.
Ms. Donahoe has worked in promotional media for Match.com, MTV, Eureka, Procter & Gamble, Alcon and Glaxosmith-Kline. She has performed on Broadway & Off Broadway, in regional theaters around the country, on television, film, radio - and in new media. She has been a recipient of a Helen Hayes Award, and a 2016 Obie Award. She was 2017 Beinecke Fellow at the Yale School of Drama, Yale University in New Haven, CT.
Emily received her MFA from the University of California, San Diego; AB in Drama and Psychology, Vassar College. Post-graduate certificate in Women and Leadership at Cornell University.
